Jaden padded silently through the thick underbrush of the forest. Almost no light filtered through the tree's making him appear to be camouflage. Two canines walked along side him, as they always did. Winds came from the north and the smell of blood filled the vampire's nostrils, he did nothing despite his cravings and padded onward, heading even deeper into the forest. Eyes seemed to peer from behind every bush and tree. His mind wandered in and out of the dark, meaning bad images filled is head but none seemed to really bother him. His sword was sheathed in its normal position on his back. Nothing seemed to be a major threat so it became play time for hi and his dogs. From his pocked Jaden pulled an orange tennis ball. He threw the ball as far as he could and both dogs hustled after it. Yipping and growling was heard in the distance coming form the direction the ball was thrown. Rushing into view, one after the other, the dogs appeared, first came the white one, Hudson and following came the black one, Fell, carrying the ball.

The silence of the forest was getting to her. Had it been too long? Yes, it had. Could she move? No, she couldn't.
She should'nt've been there in the first place. The storm had rung in her nose and she knew it would start raining soon. She had no problem with the rain; she loved it. But it made her animals on edge. The storm dimmed their senses and made them anxious. She shifted on her seat on a log, listening for her pets to come and find her. SHe couldn't find her way back otherwise. So, if they didn't show, she was screwed.
Barks entered her ears and she automatically stood and turned to them. By the time she realized they weren't her dogs' barks, she had already made it halfway there. Her devoted feelings to any animal had caused her to move sub-consciously. She hadn't realized what she had been doing. She automatically moved to any sound any animal made. This case was no different. But these dogs weren't feral. These were happy barks and sounded as if they were returning to their owner, proud of their accomplishment. Well, now there was someone she could run into.
She thought about who would be in the forest, though. No person in their right mind, and yes, she didn't consider herself sane, would think to come into the dark, huge, scary forest that had people staring at you all the time. But she couldn't see the dark, scary, and huge forest, and if her dogs wanted to play, then she wouldn't stop them. This was their favorite place. They'd go off for ten to twenty minutes and them come back to lead her home. That was what being blind had done to her. And then she thought of the person she'd met a few days ago. Well, he wasn't technically a person.
A small sigh escaped her lips as she heard the barks again and could hear the dogs' fur brushing against the grass. Her senses had obviously been better than any normal humans, other than her eyesight, and her advanced hearing was good for these situations. It was then she heard her dogs' barks, off in the distance. She wasn't worried about them getting lost. They'd eventually return home if they were out too long. She didn't let them out on their own, and certainly not individually. It would've been stupid. If something attacked them, it would be much better for a pack to work together.
"Hello?" she questioned, knowing there should be an answer. Her body was awkward in the middle of the trees. She could've looked more natural, but she didn't find the point. The minute she'd hear the person move, she could probably locate their face and stare into their eyes. It was a quality that was easily done when she was blind and when whe wasn't.

Jaden heard a quite, feminine, voice behind him, Hudson and Fell suddenly beginning to growl.Shhhhhh. Is all that escaped his lips but the dogs quieted and lay on the ground at their masters feet. a hand reached down and patted them on the head as to show them they did well. Hello? He said in a low questioning tone. Most of the time, Jaden hated the presence of others, and yet with this young woman, he felt no threat and yet he did not let his guard down.Would you be so kind as to tell me your calling and where you reside? He asked in the most unthreating tone he could find within him.
