Plot
We all know the sea can be a bit unpredictable. Yo u never know what's going to happen and when it's going to happen. The same goes for the 'Arc Kinetic;' an olden-days, pirate-like ship. A storm rolled over the horizon and they were stranded in the middle. When an island popped into view, they automatically dropped anchor and parked their ship. Now, they did have technology and radioed for help. Their boat wasn't in the best of shape. What they hadn't realized, though, was that they had stumbled upon an extraordinary island; one that hadn't been placed on maps yet. The oddest part, though, was that when they left, they craved for the island; they wanted to go back, even if there was nothing there. Well, that's what everyone had thought. Searches were discontinued after parties of 20 or even more would go missing; no trace left behidn what-so-ever. They hadn't known there were other people on the island. So they tested their boundaries by leaving things scattered around. The things that weren't over the boundary weren't touched at all, but the things that were were torn to shreds and thrown across the camps. So a fence was built, trying to keep out whatever was on the other side of the boundary. It took a while before the island could be declared safe and buildings could be put up. Parts of the city died, however, because of little use. Many mainlanders tended to grasp desperately onto their old traditions. The island is powered by solar energy and there are very few cars. It is a really nature-preserving place because when they started to build a factory, peices would go missing and workers would be killed and hung up on display. The city usually has a lot of extra power and every house and building has a back-up generator, so there really isn't anythign to worry about. But it didn't make the island normal. All of the people that had come had felt the same attraction the sailors had. Vampires had it the worse; it was like a craving that wouldn't go away. All they had to do was see a picture. As soon as the vampires arrived, they were aware of four other presences; the humans, the animals, and two other strange auras. When they checked it out, they got their answer at the expense of a couple of lives. The other two presenses were shapeshifters and what they called 'Natives;' a super-athletic and agile group of people that basically lived in the wild. The groups are separated by the fence but what should happen if the fence is taken down? Utter chaos, mass murder, clashes and dominance fighting. But, for now, the fence is up. And all that's left for me to say is... Welcome to Nowhere.

Aiden sighed heavily, staring down at his feet as he walked down the trail. His body sagged tiredly as he held the sleeping rabbit on his arm. He'd been tired a lot lately. Exploring the world was fun as hell for him, and wearing these kinds of clothes was a weird feeling. Today, though, he'd stripped of his shirt and was down to his jeans and bare-feet. His body was tall and the shade felt good on his skin. It was hot out, but it was obvious a storm was coming. He could feel it, smell it, taste it. It made him edgy, and his rabbit would've been if it were awake. But, it got to sleep while it's personal transportation carried it around.

Originally, Aiden and walked on the beach, enjoying the people having fun. But the crowds got tiring and he found the little path that seemed too small for him. He didn't know where it went; he was hardly ever allowed out of tribe lands, but this week he had time, and he was cherishing it. He loved to just walk around and experience new sights and sounds. The seclusion of the tribe was odd compared to this new life of energy and excitement. The woodsy trail and the breezes and shade felt good against his naturally tanned skin. He emerged from the woods onto the rocky beach and knew at once why no ordinary person would be there.

There were large rocks and boulders dotting the shoreline and the ocean. He took a step on one of them and almost slid onto a rock. After a bit of maneuvering, though, he made it to a somewhat sand shore and sat down. His sleepiness was getting the best of him and he stared down at his rabbit friend, wondering if he could sleep as deeply. Clouds darkened the sky, as he'd predicted, and he laid onto his back, staring up at the clouds with a scowl. Rain wasn't something he enjoyed very much.

He tucked his friend onto his arm close to his body. The last time, he'd almost had a vampire eat the poor thing. Now, he was going to be more careful with his companion and keep him hidden the best he could. He was a caring person, so he hated seeing things hurt or being hurt and would usually step in. What he hated more, though, when someone would try to hurt his friends.

Sky glared into the sun. Claw had just disappeared into it. She waited several minutes, unmoving, before she could see the male peregrine again. She was standing at the shoreline, allowing Claw some hunting time. It was actually quite rare for her to accompany him on his hunting excursions but she was bored. Raising an arm, she noticed the falcon change direction and fly toward her. Watching in awe as he pulled his wings back and fell into a dive, the young girl held her arm up higher. This...is not gonna feel good, she thought. "Easy, boy. Easy. That's it." Claw almost immediately pulled up so as to land gently on his mistress's outstretched arm. "That's my boy." Claw gave a loud screeching cry in response.

Smiling, Sky ran her hand over the top of his head and down his back before grabbing his beak and playfully shaking his beak. He pulled his head back and nipped her fingers. "Ugh! Was that neccissary?" she asked mockingly. The glare he gave her was as obvious as his contempt for her actions as he opened his wings and took the next updraft high into the sky. Before he'd gone too far, Sky hollered up at him. "Come back down here, Claw. You just ate." He began to circle above her, almost teasing her. "Claw," Sky warned. "Come here." He finally began to lose altitude and landed on her arm once more, this time refusing to look at her. She shrugged and started walking the shore line.

The ocean was one of those things that held mysteries, something Sky was particularly fond of. Looking out to sea and wondering what all it held could be known as one of Sky's pastimes. Then again, the night sky would be another. The shapeshifter turned finally, from the water as the wind started to pick up. Claw ruffled his feathers discontentedly. He didn't much like storms. Sky had found him on the rocks by the beach she was on after a particularly bad storm. His wing and leg had been broken in the high winds. She had healed him and got him flying and hunting on his own again, but he hadn't left her. She smiled at the idea of a peregrine falcon as a pet. He was beginning to get heavy on her arm. The wolf-girl flicked her forearm slightly and said, "Up." Claw opened his wings once more and was off.

This time, he didn't go up, but forward. After a good hundred yards he dropped from his low altitude. Sky, shrugging, went to investigate. She figured he had found desert. At first she was slightly confused as to why he was still on the ground, but understood as soon as he was in the air again but had no kill. Great... She saw him dive and pull up mulitple times. What did he find? she wondered. Quickly she pulled off the little amount of clothing she was wearing and phased. Running in her wolf form with her clothes in her mouth, she came upon a young man and a rabit. Of course, it would be her falcon to find desert that was someone else's pet. Dropping her clothes and letting a bark escape her maw, she warned Claw off. He settled himself in a tree as she phased back and quickly dressed out of sight.

She took the few paces and nodded her head in greeting, "Sorry about that. I had no idea there were pets around..." The appology was sincere, amazingly. "Name's Sky. Is the rabbit alright?"

Aiden had hardly closed his eyes when he heard the call of the bird and the shaking and burying of his rabbit into his arm. His eyes flickered open quickly and his hand instinctively waved toward the bird, shooing him without any real threat. He didn't want to hurt the rapter, but his friend was also important. He wished silently that he'd brought a shirt to cover his friend with. It must've looked unusual to see a tall guy sitting on a beach, protecting a rabbit. The rabbit was grateful, though, and hopped onto his lap.

He cowered again, watching the wolf run by. Aiden's brows furrowed. A shape-shifter? Huh, that was something he hadn't seen for a while. His tribe was disgusted by their existence. Why, he would never know. They were perfectly fine to him. Then again, an attacking cougar would be considered his best friend if he had a say in it. He watched the girl curiously as she ran to the woods. He could tell it was a girl; the basic shape and lack of anything telling him it was a male pretty much described it. Her smell was different, too. He waited, watching as she walked back out of the trees.

Aiden sat up, as she returned, ignoring the scratching of his rabbit onto his skin. He really wished he'd brought a shirt then. He could take of his pants, but that would be a bit odd. He merely tucked the terrified thing under his knees and looked up at the female. He's not a pet. He's a friend, Aiden corrected stubbornly. He hated calling the rabbit a pet. If he wanted a pet, he'd cage a human and carry that around. I'm Aiden... He would've told her he was a human, but he figured that would've been obvious. He held out his hand, stretching it over his chest. The rabbit shook against his legs. He'd gotten the poor thing into more dangerous situations then fair.

I dunno. He's probably in shock. First a vampire, then a falcon, then a shape shifter. I wonder if he'll last much longer with all of these threats, Aiden sighed unhappily, his eyes staring out at the sea. The winds picked up, blowing his black hair backward and allowing little spurts of water to hit his bare chest. The rabbit's shivering decreased a bit and he hopped out curiously. He was on the opposite side of the female, though, cautious. Aiden's large hand patted his small head gently as he smiled gently at the braveness of the little fellow.

ooc;;arg, sorry, it sucks
